I’m really tired of seeing social justice tumblrs picking and choosing whose identities are real and whose aren’t. Really fucking tired. You don’t get to pick and choose. You don’t get to tell someone their rights come before someone else or play the Well I’m More Oppressed Than You game. You don’t have some magical mind reading ability that lets you read other people’s thoughts to see if they’re telling the truth or not.  So please, if you have it stuck in your head that you’re allowed to discredit someone’s identity because some cis white guy in a lab coat hasn’t declared it to be true yet, or because you don’t understand, let me know who you are so I can go right ahead and unfollow you. 

And yes, I mean ALL identities regardless of sexuality, gender or nonhuman status. You need to get it through your heads that just because you don’t understand something, doesn’t mean it’s wrong or that you get to shit on other people whose existence isn’t detrimental to you in any way. There are bigger things to worry about. Respect them and move on with your life.
