Also, it should be “Sincerely, same-sex relationships, anal sex, post transition bodies, hystorectomies, vasectomies, sterilisation, some intersex bodies, post-menopausal female people.” Because, exactly, woman-woman and man-man is not the same as femaleperson-femaleperson and maleperson-maleperson [obv, referring to physical sex there] and there are actually quite a few ways for a relationship to be guaranteed no-pregnancy, including people who are unable to reproduce. Which would be me if they allowed it D: because I don’t want children/to pass on my DNA.
My letter would have been like this, anyway;
“Dear abstinance, you don’t work because people like having sex. Sincerely, someone who likes having sex. PS lol fuck you”
Good post, bringing up some points though:
- “Physical sex”, as I think you’re using it, is a myth.
- Anal sex is not a guaranteed method of contraception.
- “People like having sex” is erasing of asexual people.
- Females are not the only ones who go through menopause.
